Forever Active, Quingo UK distributor - Britain really has got talent!

Not content with covering the 84 miles from coast to coast and conquering Hadriens Wall, completing 150 mile pilgrimage from Winchester to Canterbury Cathedral, then smashing a Guinness World Record for covering the greatest distance in 24 hours, the RedWheelies have achieved yet another first with their trusty Quingo 5 wheel companions.

This Summer the Red Wheelies Mobility Scooter Formation Display Team and their Quingo Vitess’s took to the stage at London’s Hammersmith Apollo to take part in one of the UK’s most popular TV shows, Britain’s Got Talent.

With the judging panel consisting of Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alicia Dixon and David Walliams looking on the ladies displayed a mix of precision maneuvers, slick dance moves and precision driving skills, all on their mobility scooters.

And Britain certainly does have Talent when it comes to this diverse group of ladies who all live with Multiple Sclerosis, yet still manage find the time and the energy to raise positive awareness of the condition as well as raise much needed funds for their local MS charity.

Performing to Shania Twain’s 1997 hit ‘Man, I feel like a Woman’, the performance received rapturous applause from the live audience and was put through to next round by 3 of the 4 judges, including the all important Simon Cowell.

Jackie Weeden explains how the team felt performing in front of the cameras. “We had to perform in a much smaller space than we are used to, which meant we had to adapt the choreography to suite the Apollo's dimensions, it was pretty nerve racking as we had very little time to practice. However, everything went really well and everyone performed fantastically well, I am so pleased everything worked out. Making television means a lot of waiting around, which is difficult for most people but for those of us living with MS, plus all sorts of logistical challenges it was all very exhausting but worth it in the end when we found out that we were through.”

Mark Nicholls, Managing Director of Forever Active, the UK’s exclusive distributor added “This is yet another unique challenge that the Red Wheelies have set for themselves and our range of scooters. Space is very limited on the Britain’s Got Talent stage so the Quingo Vitess’s agility and 5 wheel stability were vital for this performance. However at the end of the day, it’s their skill and determination that has made this happen and we are very proud to be associated with them and their work.”
